  • Obituary: Las Vegas Sun Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 Norman Gindrat, 80, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born July 18, 1923, in Camden, N.J. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired project manager for the federal government, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the Daedalians. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; three sons, Norman R. Gindrat III of Colorado Springs, Colo., Robert Gindrat of Highland Village, Texas, and Steven Gindrat of Park City, Utah; four daughters, Marsha Miller of Duxbury, Mass., Pamela Stiegerwald of Owens Cross Roads, Ala., Susan Smith of Germany and Laura Goral of Swanee, Ga.; two stepsons, John Lockwood of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert Lockwood of Henderson; two stepdaughters, Deborah Rogers of Noblesville, Ind., and Dona Pettitt of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements. The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
