  • Obituary: Bridgewater Bulletin Ozem H. Snyder, a lifelong and highly esteemed resident of Conquerall Bank, passed away at the home of his son, Leander, early Sunday morning, following an illness covering a period of about twelve months. He was in his 86th. year and was a son of a well-known family, his parents, the late John William and Cynthia Eliza Snyder, being among the early settlers of Lunenburg County. He was a carpenter by trade and in religion an Anglican. In his immediate family, he is survived by four sons, Leander, with whom he made his home for several years; Phinnie of Dayspring; Caleb of Medford, Mass.; and Percy of Somerville, Mass; also a brother, Elam at Conquerall Bank. Mr. Snyder was twice married, both wives having predeceased him. An only daughter, Margaret, died about forty years ago. The late Almon and Henry Snyder, well-known contractors, were brothers. The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Kennedy Wainwright, pastor of St. Augustine's Church, of which he was a member, officiated. Interment was made in Maple Leaf Cemetery at Conquerall Bank.
