Miller, Sr., 74, of 92 Reservoir Road, Westhampton, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, surrounded by his wife and daughters at Baystate Medical Center. He was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Gardner, to James and Eleanor (Ewing) Miller. The family moved to Westhampton when he was a young boy. He was educated in Westhampton schools and then Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School in Northampton, where he found his love of auto body repair. Frank worked at local repair shops and then owned Frank's Auto Body in Westhampton and then in Hatfield, retiring in 2002. He loved riding and drag racing Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was able to ride right up through this past summer. He was the music sergeant in the 10th Massachusetts Regiment and played the fife. He was also a member of the Westhampton Congregational Church UCC for over 50 years. Frank also enjoyed cooking and baking for his family, and spending time with all of them brought him so much joy. Frank leaves behind his wife Marion (Payson) Miller; the couple met when they were just four years old. They were high school sweethearts and married Feb. 18, 1961. He also leaves a son Frank, Jr., of Longmeadow; his daughters Bonnie Paton and her husband Dick of Southampton, and Patty Greene and her husband Bob of Florence; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his brother Bob Miller; and his sisters Gale Wright and Helene Pajak, all of Westhampton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
