  • Obituary: CRAIG, MIRL EDWARD At Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, N.B. April 7, 2009, Mirl Edward Craig, Beloved husband of Thelma (May) Craig, of McAdam. Mirl was born in Hillside, N.B. May 21, 1923, the son of the late Glasier and Gertrude (MacDonald) Craig. Mirl was also predeceased by his first wife Rona. Mirl was a conductor for the CPR for many years, retiring in 1982. He served as President of the McAdam Chamber of Commerce for more than twenty-five years and member of Ashler Masonic Lodge #36 and Order of Eastern Star #13 McAdam N.B. Mirl was a devout member of St. George's Anglican Church, McAdam N.B. Besides his wife Thelma he is survived by sons; Stephen (Colleen) and Dale of Fredericton N.B, Dean of Alliston ON. One daughter, Gail of Woodstock N.B. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters, Mabel Sharpe Woodstock, N.B. Shirley Stinson McAdam, N.B. Connie (Roland) Rioux Fredericton, N.B. as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral services to be held at St. George's Anglican Church Wednesday May 13, 2009 at 2 PM with Rev. Kevin Cross officiating. Luncheon to follow at the church hall. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB. Arrangements were entrusted S.O. Mehan and Son Ltd. St. Stephen N.B. Published April 18, 2009 - The Daily Gleaner
