Armstrong, 83, of 2503½ Vermont Ave. died yesterday in the Cherry Hill Nursing Home in Toledo. She was a former teacher in Monroe County. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania, Ohio after 7 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Herbert Brubaker of the Midland, Mich., United Methodist Church and the Rev. Dale Gensler, Mrs. Armstrong's great-nephew of Coldwater, Ohio, officiating. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania. The daughter of Emery and Clara (Waltz) Mills, she was born in Morocco, Mich., on June 15, 1885. She was married in 1919 to Cory Armstrong in Dundee. He preceded her in death in 1952. She was a resident of the Toledo and Monroe County vicinity all her life. She was a schoolteacher in Monroe County for 10 years prior to 1911 when she went to India where she was a missionary for the Methodist Church seven years. Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Gladys Gensler of Lulu, Mich., Mrs. Cecil Mills of Detroit and Mrs. Helens Mills of California, and three nephews, Emery Tuttle of Toledo, Emery Mills of Belleville, and Harold Mills of Wauseon, Ohio.
