Shaw, 81, of Lauderhill, FL, passed away April 14, 2010, after a prolonged illness. He was born in Paterson, NJ on Sept. 7, 1928. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose Mary; daughters, Mary A. Shaw of Florida and Darlene T. Shaw of California; sons, Richard P. Shaw Jr. and Paul S. Shaw of New York and their families; and brother, John S. Shaw of New Jersey. He was predeceased by another son, Stephen J. Shaw, and brother, Robert Shaw. He was a WWII veteran and a proud member of the American Legion, 40 & 8, Fraternal Order of the Moose, and Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was a graduate of Syracuse University. He started his own office furniture and supply company, Data Handling Products, Ltd., in Syracuse, NY, and retired in 1992. He enjoyed summers with his family in the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River and moved to Lauderhill, FL, from Cazenovia, NY, in 1999. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service July 24, 2010, at 3:15 p.m. in New Woodstock, NY.
