She was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, a daughter of Alexander and Margaret Shaw Green, and graduated from Lawrence High School in Falmouth, Mass. Mrs. Goodspeed was a member of the South Parish Congregational Church in Augusta and was involved in church and community activities. Her interests included travel and cooking. She was married to Ernest L. Goodspeed in 1946. He died in 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Goodspeed of Gorham and Nancy Goodspeed of Portland; a sister, Gladys M. Baltz of Falmouth, Mass.; and a grandchild, Vernetta Goodspeed of Gorham.
