  • Obituary: Robert Moss Ronci Sr. Passed away on Sun., Feb. 28, 2016, at Presentation Rehabilitation & Skilled Care, Boston, MA, after a short period of failing health. Robert was a son of Reynold of San Vito, Italy and Helen (Moss) Ronci of Annapolis, Maryland. Robert was married to the late Barbara E. (Phinney) Ronci. Robert grew up in Maryland and completed his education in Boston, MA. He spent his last years at Mount Pleasant Home in Jamaica Plain, MA. Robert served in the US Army, before beginning his career in sales. He was the great- grandson of Judge James Moss of Annapolis, who was Adjutant to General George "Blackjack" Pershing, commander of the Army in WWI. Robert loved entertaining on his private island on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH. He enjoyed Jazz, dancing, Broadway Theater and vacations on cruises and in Florida with his wife. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, going to Celtics games and telling his life stories. He was a traveling salesman who knew the art of the deal. Some of his final goodbye words were "So long America, it's been great". He is survived by sons Robert M. Jr. of Milton, NH, David R. of Franklin MA, James M. of Bolton VT, Kenneth C. of Bellingham, MA, He leaves 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Juli Ann Ronci, his sister Rose (Ronci) Bunch, his niece Margaret (Bunch) Reynolds. Interment with Military Honors will be held at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday, March 14th at 1:00PM. Published in The Boston Globe on Mar. 6, 2016
