Aljian, 90, a vice president of purchasing and packaging with C&H Sugar, who died in Palo Alto on September 24. Born in Armenia (Turkey), Mr. Aljian emigrated here in 1896 and was graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Chemical engineering. Mr. Aljian, who worked at C&H Sugar in Crockett and San Francisco for 41 years, was the recipient of may professional awards. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise of Menlo Park; a daughter, Nancy Ashe of San Jose; two sons James of Los Angeles and Peter of Castro Vallej; a brother Malcolm of Escondido; a sister, Anne of Oakland and 12 grandchildren. Interment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma.
