  • Historical Information: Harry Ferguson, eldest son of John R Strattan and his second wife, Emma (Ferguson) Strattan, was born in Strattanville PA, September 24, 1874. He was educated in the public schools and entered Allegheny College in Meadville PA whence he was a graduate in the class of 1898. After graduation he returned to Strattanville where he engaged in the lumber business until 1901. For the next three years, 1901-1904, he was a resident of Niagra Falls NY, where he operated in real estate. He then located to Clarion PA, entering the First National Bank. In 1910 he was appointed assistant cashier, which position he now holds, being also member of the board of directors. In politics he is Republican. He is a member of Clarion Lodge No 277, Free and Accepted Masons, and his college fraternity is Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He married May 8, 1901, Amanda J Rulofson, born in Strattanville PA, April 21, 1878, daughter of William R and Sarah E (Smathers) Rulofson and granddaughter of Rulolf Rulofson, born Oct 18, 1822.
