  • Obituary: Bertha Annie Keddy - 96, of Aylesford, Kings County, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Rockland, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Azie and Florence (Palmer) Lutz. She worked on the family farm with her husband of 75 years. She had great pride in her children and especially her grandchildren. She was a very special and strong person who always put others before herself. There were very few jobs on the farm that she did not do. She was very active with her chores and hens until she was no longer able. She always appreciated all that was done for her by others and never hesitated to thank them. She is survived by her husband, Morris; she will also be deeply missed by her children, Brian (Linda), Aylesford; Jean Schofield, Bridgewater; Stewart (Beryl), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Shawn, Jason, Mark, Scott, Charlene and Michael; two great grandchildren; six sisters, Bessie Stoddart, Helen Wilson, Marie Carver, Janice Dunn, Carolyn Schrage and Marina Hudson; four brothers, Carleton Lutz, Hardy Lutz, Ronnie Lutz and Robert Lutz. She was predeceased by four sisters, Carrie Carver, Doris Palmer, Margaret Palmer and Rose Boyd; a brother, Whitney Lutz; son-in-law, Gerald Schofield. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 in Christ Anglican Church Hall, Berwick. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, Reverend Ruby Carter officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Auburn Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
