Born in South Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Nathan and Lila Mae (Palmer) Silver. She was a graduate of Nova Scotia Normal College (1959) and taught for many years in Rockland and Somerset elementary schools. She was a charter member of Rockland Women's Institute. She was a member of Berwick United Church and for many years was a member of the choir. She enjoyed gardening and working in the family orchard. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Robert Silver, Rockland; daughter, Sherald and husband Reg Patterson, Berwick; son, Keith and wife Corinne, Rockland; sisters, Phyllis Corkum, Gladys (Mrs. Robert Connors), Rockland; brother, Mylon Silver, Fredericton, N.B.; grandchildren, Gary, Gina and Gwen Patterson, Melanie and John Silver. She was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth in infancy, Alvin Silver; sisters, Joan in infancy, Ollie Silver. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in H.C. Linday Memorial Chapel, 192 Commercial St., Berwick. Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, in Berwick United Church, Rev. Donald C. MacPherson officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery.
