Brunt, 87, of Belmont died peacefully Wednesday morning, August 25, 2010 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. He was born on April 26, 1923 in Boston, the son of William and Geneva Brunt. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dawna, three sons, Gary, of Northfield, David, of Pittsfield, and Robert, of Gilmanton, and one daughter, Sandra, of Franklin. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by a sister, Harriet Kamps, of Dedham, MA. Dick was predeceased by his first wife of 42 years, Dorothy, who passed away in 1987. Rev. Brunt spent his early years in Dedham, where he graduated from high school in 1941. He was a WWII veteran, having served in the Army/Air Force. Upon his discharge from the military, he entered the newspaper business, working for several papers in Mass. and N.H. over a 30 year period. Rev. Brunt also pastored three churches in Mass. and N.H. and was President of Beulah Fellowship in Canterbury, NH for 17 years. In recent years he concentrated on ministry at the N.H. Veteran's Home in Tilton, Genesis Home in Laconia, and Mountain Ridge in Franklin. His greatest joy in life was to serve the Lord, with whom he is rejoicing in Heaven, and the family so dear to his heart. He will be greatly missed. A committal service and interment will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010, at the NH Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, followed by a memorial celebration of his life at Gospel Light Church of God at 3:15.
