  • Obituary: Retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Michael John Van Dusky, 62, passed away Feb. 15, 2000. Born in New Jersey, he was a Navy veteran of Vietnam and was Catholic by faith. He was an active member of the Temple of Music for the last three years of his life. His music meant a lot to him and his family. Survivors include his wife, Luisa T.A. Van Dusky; two daughters and their husbands, Stephanie D. Neihart and Brian Neihart, Deborah A. Williams and Brian Williams; and two grandchildren, Michael D. Van Dusky and Christine R. Williams, all of Virginia Beach. A funeral Mass with military honors will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel by Fr. Michael A. Diaz. Burial will be at sea. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather who put the welfare of others above his own. His family wishes him fair winds and following seas in his journey. We all love you, ''Sea Lord.''
