Donald was born September 25, 1926 in Millinocket, the son of Stephen and Helen (Lunt) Lunch. Donnie graduated from Stearns High School, class of 1945. He then served in the Military Police in Italy during World War II until his discharge in 1947. He married the love of his life, Joyce (Larlee) Lynch on August 19, 1950. He retired from Great Northern Nekoosa as a maintenance supervisor in 1984 after 41 years of service. He was a member of the First Congregational Church (UCC) of East Millinocket, and a faithful member of the choir for many years, as well as serving on various committees. In addition to his wife, Joyce, Donald is survived by four children: Dawn and husband Mark Bossie of Houlton, Charles and wife Julie Lynch of Hermon, Nancy and husband Garth Wilbanks of Winterport and Robert and wife Barbara Lynch of Portland; 9 beloved grandchildren: Timothy and Tiffany Bossie, Jason, Joshua, and Nathan Lynch, Andrew and Kathleen Clark, Jillian and Andrea Lynch, and 2 step-grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Wilbanks; a sister-in-law Beverly Lynch, a sister-in-law Shirley and husband Eugene (Runt) Albert, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was pre-deceased by 2 brothers: Roland and Paul Lynch; and 3 sisters: Virginia Michaud, Grace Levasseur and Patricia Grenier.
