McEachern, Wayne Douglas '96 69, Belmont, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, in the Colchester East Hants Health Care Centre, Truro, due to a stroke. Born in Pugwash Junction at home, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Laura (Langille) McEachern. He was a hunter of large game; enjoyed fishing; and loved listening to country music. Wayne also loved to sing and play along with his Gibson guitar. Surviving are his long time companion, Beverly Redden, Belmont; her boys, Adam, Josh and Jake; Wayne's sons, Geoff (Heather); Mark; daughter, Angela and her son Mitchell, all of Berwick; several grandchildren; brothers, Hugh, Berwick; Rodney, Alberta; sister, Ch-naut Grey, Oxford; special nephews, Hugh and Dennis; several other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Arnold, Sydney Mines; sisters, Diane Sellars and Lorna Alders, both of Kentville. In keeping with Wayne's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River, in the spring. Donations in memory may be made to the Truro SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash.
