Born in Pugwash, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse John and Laura Ella (Langille) McEachern. She had been employed at ACA Co-operative, Canard Poultry and Zeller's. She was a member of Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot, where she served as a deacon, treasurer and as a member of the choir. She is survived by two daughters, Crystal Lynn Merlin, Kentville; Nancy Nicole Alders, Kentville; grandchildren, Brittany (Jason), Dylan, Dakota and Abby; three brothers, Hugh, Somerset; Rodney, Alberta and Wayne, Truro. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Clark Alders; a sister, Eileen Joyce (in infancy); a sister, Diane Marie; a brother, Arnold Laurie. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 in Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses.
