"Lin" Libby, 73, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, from Alzheimer's complications. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of White Settlement. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: Building Fund, First Baptist Church of White Settlement, 7800 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth 76108. Lin was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Hampden, Maine. He enlisted in and served in the U.S. Army, 1953-1956, stationed in Korea. On Dec. 26, 1955, he married Frances Lanelle Wood and they were blessed with two children, Greg and Gayle. Lin was a technical publications manager, retiring from General Dynamics in 1991 after 33 1/2 years. Lin attended First Baptist Church of White Settlement where he was an active deacon for over 40 years. He held lifetime memberships in the National Management Association, the John Libby Family Association and IOOF. Lin and his wife traveled many states and countries RVing and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and being "Grampy" to Travis and Tyler and many of their friends. He will truly be missed and remembered by his loving family.
