Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Angus Victor MacRae and Vera Lois (Russell) MacRae of PEI. She was a homemaker and mother who raised four children; sons, Steven (Tammy) and Paul, both of Tatamagouche; daughters, Yvonne Christie (Michael), Alberta; Heather (Joe), Halifax; grandchildren, Matthew Wilson, Jeremy Wilson; Meghan Sutherland and Abigail Sutherland; her special helper, Alexis Wilson; brothers, Danny MacRae, Tatamagouche; Malcolm MacRae, Hamilton, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A graveside funeral service will be held in the springtime and announced in the May edition of The Light newspaper.
