Obituary: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Alan Carde, 75, of Oxford, NS, on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Springhill, NS, Gary was a son of the late Frederick "Ted" & Adelaide (Langille) Carde.
Gary was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the Circle K to hang out and help out when he was able.
Gary will be missed by Sharon Carde; his children, Debbie, Joe (Trish), and Mark (Sara), all of Springhill and Richard, of Truro; his grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Kayla, Emily, Luke, Everleigh, and Athena as well as his great grandson, Benjamin. He is also survived by his siblings, Fred, Doug (Vivian), Cathy Colwill, David and James (Donna) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
Donations in memory of Gary may be made to All Saint's Community Health Care Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
