Born in Barss Corner, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Lila Bell (Wagner) Ramey. She was a member of the Salvation Army and had been employed at the former Palmeters Country Home, Kentville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers, no matter what the occasion. She also enjoyed cross-word puzzles. She is survived by three daughters, Marena (Marshall) Jones and Maxine (Donald) Bezanson, both of Kentville; Malita (Robert) Garber, Bridgewater; three sons, Malcolm, at home; Mervin, New Minas; Marshall (Patricia), London, Ontario; a sister, Erna (Lloyd) Stevens, Northwood Manor, Halifax; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a good friend, John Rafuse; son-in-law, Ronald Winkelman, Canning; daughter-in-law, Jackie Phinney, Kentville; two sisters-in-law, Beulah Ramey, Barss Corner and Beulah Ramey, New Germany; a brother-in-law, Ervin Dorey, Chester. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; a sister, Gloria Dorey; four brothers, Lloyd, Mervin, Donald and Carroll; a son-in-law, Gordon Adams. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2007 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in the Salvation Army … Kentville Citadel, Majors Bond and Marina Jennings officiating, assisted by Pastor Thelma McLeod.
