Born in River John on April 1, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Myrtle (Langille) MacLellan. Maye was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved caring for her family and friends. Over the years, she worked for T. E. Eaton Company in Moncton, NB, Brookfield Foods and many years at Irving Oil Ltd. in Truro. In her younger years she was an avid bowler, loved to dance and sing and always enjoyed old time country music. She also loved seeing her friends at the bingo hall. Maye loved people, was very generous and enjoyed life. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed. She is survived by her husband Archie of 59 years; her only daughter and best friend, Shelley (Doug); loving son, David (Shirley), very close granddaughter, Erin (Jody), grandson, Erik; sister, Florence (Bert); brother, Rennie (Audrey); special sister-in-law, Aggie and loving nieces and nephews she held dear to her heart. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Aubrey, Roy, Lloyd, Bill; older sisters, Irene and Eva. The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and caring. Special thanks to doctors and nurses, especially Christina of Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro and appreciation to Rev. Lori Ramsey for her care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. The family would like you to join them at St. John's Anglican Church, 23 Church Street, Truro on Friday, September 28 at 11:00 am for celebration of life service in Maye's memory. Reception to follow the service. Interment at a later time. Donations in her memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of choice.
