Born in Malagash, he was a son of the late Ora and Clara (Langille) Scott. Roland had worked at the Salt Mine in Pugwash before moving to Ontario where he was employed at a Gold Mine. When he returned to Malagash he went to work as a lobster fisherman. He was a private person with a great sense of humor. He was an avid sport fisherman and hunter. Surviving are his sisters, Freda Patriquin, Wallace; Hilda (Melvin) Stevens, Pugwash Jct.; Helen (George) Greenwood, Newport, Hants Co.; Hazel Trenholm, Pugwash; and Jean Gayton, Tatamagouche; brother, Lloyd Scott, Wallace; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 26, in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506), from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, Rev.
