Born in Malagash, she was a daughter of the late Ora and Clara (Langille) Scott. In her early years, Hazel had attended Oulton's Business College and had worked at Reno's store in Pugwash. She later moved to Chipman, NB, and while living there, spent time as a personal caregiver and teaching educational upgrading to JD Irving employees. She took great pleasure in and deeply loved her grandchildren, Daniel, Claire, Sam, Rachel, Dante, Brady, Aiden, Ethan, Ashlin and Tyler, whom she raised as a son. She had great affection for her pets, Peppy, Princess and Max. While an extremely private person, she very much enjoyed bingo, cards and cheating at crib. She is survived by her children, Hudson, Truro; Jody (Angela), Port Howe; Tracey (Fred) Flanagan, Wentworth; grandson, Tyler; and Gina (Glenn) Jamieson, Fox Harbour. She is also survived by sisters, Hilda (Melvin) Stevens, Pugwash Junction; Helen (George) Greenwood, Newport; Jean Gayton, Tatamagouche; plus many nieces and nephews, including Karen Langille and Kim Norton who have always treated her so kindly. Predeceased by brothers, Roland and Lloyd; sisters, Freda Patriquin and Ida Lewis. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, May 15 in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River. Family flowers only. Memorial donations can be made to North Cumberland Memorial Hospital Foundation.
