  • Obituary: (August 2, 1931 - November 6, 2011) Patriquin, Freda Marie - 80, Conns Mills, Cumberland County, passed away Sunday November 6, 2011, in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Wallace Bridge, she was a daughter of the late Charles Smith and Clara (Langille) Scott. Freda was a proud, loving and most understanding mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster mother, aunt and sister. She was employed as a CNA at the Sunset Adult Residental Center, Pugwash, for over 18 years and then begun fostering for the next 28 years of her life. Freda was a well respected foster mother to many children who all had a very special place in her heart and in her home. She is survived by the love of her life, Trueman Patriquin, Wallace Stn.; children, Kevin (Leslee) Ottawa,ON; Brenda (Allen) Brown, Wallace Stn.; Michael (Cathy), Conns Mills; Patricia (Darrin) Langille, Malagash; Paulette (Allen Bonnyman), Wallace Stn.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Barrett, ON.; Hazel Trenholm, Pugwash; Hilda (Melvin) Stevens, Pugwash Jct.; Jean Gayton, Tatamagouche; Helen (George) Greenwood, Newport, Hants Co.,; brother, Lloyd Scott, Wallace; numerous nieces and nephews; all her extended foster children and their families, not to mention all the faithful friends who will sadly miss Freda. She was predeceased by infant daughters, Sheona and Rose; brother, Roland Scott; sister, Ida Lewis. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 7-9 p.m. in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506), from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. Rev.
