  • Obituary: Langille, John "Jack" David, 70, of Hilden, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Pictou County, he was a son of the late Harry and Florence McCunn Langille. He served with the 1RCR stationed in Ipperwash, and Germany, then later in London Ontario. He worked at All Weather Windows and Doors, Stewiacke for 25 years. He enjoyed camping in Brookside Park, in Saltsprings, and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed the many times with his grandchildren and his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Eleanor; sons John (Theresa), Ian (Sharon), Chris (Tammy), Guy, all of Hilden; grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Dillan, Cody, Aaron, Faithe; brothers, Allan Cullen, Dennis Cullen, Raymond Cullen; sister Erma Cooke; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Ted, David, Lawrence. No visitation by request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East with Rev. Ian Harrison officiating. Family flowers only. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the V.O.N. or Palliative Care Unit of Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
