Obituary: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy C. Phinney, after whom the Phinney district of Seattle was named. He spent the greater part of his life in Seattle engaged in business before retiring to Tacoma. Mr. Phinney attended Stanford University for three years and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was an avid outdoorsman, taking a special interest in outdoor dry fly casting. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Marie E, Phinney; a son, Forbes Phinney, brother Arthur A. Phinney and the following uncles and aunts: Mr. and Mrs. John B. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Sam B. Wright and Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Griffith, all well known residents of Seattle.
