  • Obituary: TRURO, Dec 11 - Lewis Weagle, River Street, died Saturday, in a hospital at Fredericton, NB, aged 53 years. He was a manager of the antimony mine at Lake George, 25 miles from Fredericton, which reopened three months ago. About two ago he was taken to the hospital at Fredericton. His death it is understood, was due to heart trouble. He was born at New Elm, Lunenburg County, and had been engaged in mining for many years. Before moving to Truro, he was engaged in mining at West Gore, Hants County. He also worked at mining in Quebec. He is survived by his wife, five sons, and five daughters. The sons are: Percy, in Alberta; Maynard, Bernard, Lester and Dennis, all at home. The daughters are: Mrs. W. A. Roberts, in Massachusets; Ina, Leata, Shaddie and Marjorie, at home. There also survives one brother, Gilbert in Halifax, and one sister, Mrs. Elijah Crouse, New Elm. The remains will be taken to New Elm for burial. The funeral will probably be held Tuesday afternoon.
