Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Gail (Warren) Brooks. Dawn enjoyed playing guitar, camping, horseback riding, hunting and going on ATV trips with the Dirt Hill Gang. She served in Telecommunications with the RCMP for over thirty years, both in Toronto and later in Nova Scotia. She was a wonderful mother and was very proud of her four grandchildren who loved camping and having ?sleep-overs? with Grammie. She is survived by her children, Shawn, Ashley (Nathan Harb), Michael (Petra); grandchildren, Faith, Claire, Kason and Eva; sister, Tracey Brooks and brother, Mark (Kristen) Brooks; several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her dog, Brandi. Dawn was predeceased by her brother, Bradley. A Celebration of Life afternoon will be held on Friday, September 13th from 3 - 6 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St, Truro.
