  • Obituary: Jamieson, Jean I. '96 83, Wallace, passed away peacefully, February 14, 2017, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born May 2, 1933, in Wallace Bridge, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Trecia (Armour) Langille. Mom had worked as a switchboard operator, a waitress and a private care giver. After completing her P.C.W. course she worked at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche and also at the Sunset Community in Pugwash. She was a member of the Wallace and Area Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her daughter, Debbie (David) Thibodeau, Bible Hill; son, Don (Kelley), Pugwash; grandchildren, Darren (Debbie), Danielle (Amit), Bryce (Alexa); Ryan (Tristan), Jennifer (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Connor, Brooklyn and Anna; brother, Ron (Eleanor) Langille, Fox Harbour; nephew, Stephen (Jordana) and their children, Niah, Leah and Casey. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Len; nephew, Andrew. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, all in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (902 243-2506). Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Burial at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Wallace and Area Volunteer Fire Department or the Riverside Cemetery.
