Obituary: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald Eugene Langille, of 18 Chester Drive, Florenceville-Bristol NB, which occurred on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 at The Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB.
He is survived by his wife Bessie (Nicholson) Langille and children James, Michael and Edward (Donna) Langille as well as eight grandchildren and five great grand children.
He was predeceased by his first wife Carole (Storey) Langille, parents Vera (Banister) Langille and Leo Langille. His siblings Ella (Langille) Legere, Louise (Langille) Robinson) Geronazzo, Robert (Bobby) Langille, Mary Jane (Langille) Dumont and Jessie (Langille) Hawkins
Donnie took great pride in his government service work, with a twenty eight and a half year career as a forest ranger and district supervisor which also included fire fighting for Natural Resources in the province of New Brunswick . He also spent twenty years in animal protection for the SPCA. He was a loyal and loving friend to many. His passion was his love of music starting at the age of thirteen. His many musical talents included numerous instruments played with various friends and bands in a professional capacity throughout his entire lifetime. His greatest musical accomplishment was his challenge to play gospel music to his own satisfaction.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 from 10:30am … 12:30 pm from the Wicklow Baptist Church in Wicklow, NB. Funeral service will take place following the visitation at 1:00 pm with Rev. Harold Sparks officiating. Interment will be in the Wicklow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wicklow Baptist Church or the cancer society would be appreciated.
The family is forever grateful for all the compassion and support received from family and friends and his physicians Dr. Bruce Lockhart and Dr Stewart Lockhart.
