Mr. McIntosh was unfortunate in having his leg broken by a kick from one of his cows, from which he never recovered. The deceased was the son of the late James and Elizabeth McIntosh, of Central New Annan, Colchester Co., and was in his 79th year, coming to this place over 50 years ago, where he married Miss Annie Williams and settled here. He was of a kindly disposition, ever ready and willing to assist his neighbours, or those in need , his many acts of kindness will long be remembered. The funeral was held from the United Church here on June 2nd and was very largely attended. Service was conducted by Rev. E. V. Forbes who spoke highly of the deceased whom he had known for many years. The pallbearers were Harry and John Scott, John McDougall, Alfred, Ralph and Clarence Dalrymple. The floral tributes from friends were beautiful, showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held, also many tokens in the form of cards and letters of sympathy. There are left to mourn his wife, one son William at home, also one daughter , Laura [Mrs. Elmer Dalrymple of Windsor Junction.. The remains were interred in the Shubenacadie Cemetery where a large concourse of sorrowing friends followed the cortege to its last resting place.
