Miller and Miss Elizabeth I. Whelen Married at Home of Bride, 209 Highland Avenue A pretty home wedding occurred this afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. Ella F. Whelan, 209 Highland, Avenue, when her daughter, Elizabeth L, became the bride of Hervey Rogers Miller also of this city. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Arthur J. Covell, pastor of the- Rollstone Congregational church, in the Presence of many relatives and intimate friends, The double ring service being used. The bride was attended by her cousin Miss Mildred L. Howard of Athol, as maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Misses Alfreda M. Miller and Mary L. Miller, sisters of the groom. The best man was Williiam E Peck of Valley Falls, R. I., a cousin of the.groom, Miss E. Belle Felton of New York city was at the piano and played the Mendelssohn wedding march as the bridal party entered the Parlor, The Nuptuals were solemnized under a large evergreeen arch, with a background of Asters and other cut flowers, prettily arranged and in harmony with the other decorative effects in the parlor and adjoining apartments. The bride was gowned in White lansdown and carried bride roses. The maid of honor wore pale green silk, carrying a bouquet of white asters and the bridesmaids were attired in white and carried shower bouquets of ferns. The wedding was followed by an informal reception at which Hills catered. Six young lady friends of the bride, Georgia M. Winslow and Ethel M. Farewell of Fitchburg, Pauline Trask of Sterling, and Elizabeth I. Meehan, Florence Warner and Ruth M. Buell, all of Orange, assisted in the serving. The couple received an especially large number of beautiful Wedding gifts. Many guests from out of town witnessed the Wedding, including a large number of school friends of the bride, who is a graduate of the four years' course of the Fitchburg normal school in the class of 1911. She previously graduated from the Orange high school and has been teaching for the past year at East Orange, N.J. The groom is a graduate of the Westminster high school and is connected with the advertising department of the Simons Manufacturing Co. The couple left late in the afternoon for an extended wedding trip and will make their home upon their return at 209 Highland avenue, this city.
