Burgess Dold, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Gooch Cemetery in Mason with the Rev. Jim McClain, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home of Mason. Mrs. Dold was born in Happy. She received her bachelor of science degree from West Texas State Teacher's College and received her master's of arts degree. She taught in Texas and New Mexico until her retirement. In 1951, Mrs. Dold moved to Mason, where she was a teacher and a member of Mason United Methodist Church.She married Clarence Dold in 1951 at Lubbock. He died in 1998. Survivors include a sister, Estelle Parken of Augusta, Ga.; and three brothers, Sidney Burgess of Canyon, Edmond Burgess of Salt Lake City and Winston Burgess of Amarillo.
