Born on February 9, 1928 in Windsor, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Hazel (Shaw) Boyd. Marjorie was a member of St. George's Anglican Church, Upper Falmouth. Marjorie and her late husband John operated Dykedale Farm, for fifty years. She was an avid gardener and loved to watch all the birds that frequented her feeders, especially chickadees and hummingbirds. Marjorie also enjoyed shopping and socializing with the many people in the stores. Her family was very important to her and she treasured the time she spent with them. Surviving are children, David (Wanda) Sexton, Falmouth; Kristen (Joe) MacLellan, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Mark Sexton, Denver, Colorado; Brian (Diana) Sexton, Falmouth; grandchildren, Erin (Levy) Bedo, Sydney, Cape Breton; Brent (Gorica) MacLellan, Ontario; Alison (Justin) MacLean, Sackville; Lauren (Parker) MacInnis; Summerside, Prince Edward Island; John Sexton (Brittany Wile) and Briana Sexton, both of Falmouth; five great- grandchildren, Marcus and Penelope Bedo; Luka and Talia MacLellan; Aubrey Sexton and baby MacLean who will be born in September; niece, Linda Boutilier (Ross Pemberton); great-nephew, Patrick Boutilier; along with other nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, John (2010); great-grandson, Finn MacLean; brother, George Boyd; sisters, Barbara Davis and Frances White. A special thanks to our cousin, Melodee Boyd for her loving care shown to Marjorie, also to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Valley Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 in the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 in St. George's Anglican Church, Upper Falmouth. Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment will be in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery.
