  • Obituary: The many friends and acquaintances of Aubrey H. Phinney will be sorry to learn of his death at his home in Malden, Mass., on the evening of Sunday the 20th of February last. He had been confirmed invalid for about two years. Mr. Phinney was in the forty seventh year of his age. He was born Melvern Square, Annapolis County. In early youth he came to Bridgewater as a clerk in the store of E.D. Davison & Sons, and remained with their successors the Davison Lumber Company til he went to the States about ten years ago. He then located in Malden and entering the grocery trade soon built up for himself a successful business. The deceased had a large circle of friends and acquaintances in Bridgewater. He was a very genial man, pleasant to everybody, and excellent company, and a man of strict integrity. He was prominent in oddfellowship and was a past Grand of LaHave Lodge, in this town. He is survived by his wife who was Miss Lena Corkum, a daughter of the late Simeon Corkum of Bridgewater. Their only child, a daughter, died in infancy and was buried here. Mr. Phinney's death in the prime of life and usefulness is much to be regretted, and his bereaved widow will have sympathy of all friends and acquaintances in which the Bulletin respectfully joins.
