  • Obituary: Berwick Register, Nov. 2, 1905 The Death occurred on Tuesday morning, at Canning, of Mrs. Mary Borden, widow of the late Dr. Jonathon Borden, and step-mother of the Minister of Militia. Mrs. Borden was a daughter of the late John M. Caldwell, High Sheriff of Kings County. She was twice married, her first husband being Mr. John B. Woodworth, of Centreville. By him she had eight children, three of whom, with their father, died of diphtheria in March, 1859. Miss M.A. Woodworth and Dr. W.S. Woodworth, of Kentville, and Mrs. C.R. Dickie, of Canning, with whom she resided, are children by this marriage, as are also Thomas C. and John C. Woodworth, residing in the United States. By her second marriage she had two daughters, one of whom is Mrs. Fred Dickey, of Canard.
