  • Obituary: The death occurred on Saturday, January 15, of Murray S. Morrison at Hull, U.S.A. He was born in Springfield, Annapolis County, on September 11, 1886, the son of the late Jonathan and Bertha (Meisner) Morrison. As a young man he worked for the railway in Ontario and later for the Davison Lumber Company in Hastings, Nova Scotia. In 1913, he married the former Minnie Trethewey and they resided in Springfield where he was a successful farmer. Later he moved to Hingham, Mass., where he was employed for a number of years after which he returned to his native Nova Scotia where he resided until retirement. After his wife died, he went to the United States to reside with his daughter, Verna. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. John Martine of Hull, Mass., five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Wilson of Milton, Nova Scotia; Mrs. Florence Joudrey of Worcester, Mass; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Verna and Meda; and a brother, Norman. Funeral service was held in Cohasset, Mass., where interment was at Woodside Cemetery.
