A telegram from North Augusta, Georgia, yesterday announced the death of Andrew Weir, of New Glasgow. As was generally known here where Mr. Weir has a large acquaintanship he had been in ill health for some time and went to the Southern States in search of health, accompanied by his son John J. and his daughter Miss Sara Weir. Recently he became worse and his son Walter was wired for and they were all with their father at the time of his demise. Mr. Weir engaged in real estate in New Glasgow and owned a large number of houses throughout the town. The remains will be brought to New Glasgow for interment, and will probably reach here during the latter end of the week, when the funeral arrangements will be made.
