  • Obituary: BLIGH, Ruth Hildred - 92, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away Monday, October 18, 2004, at home. Born in Aylesford, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Madge (Magee) Davidson. She had graduated from the Maritime Business College and had worked for the Department of Agriculture prior to her marriage and later had done the bookkeeping for her husband's commercial travelling business. She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church and the McPherson Auxiliary. Ruth and her late husband travelled throughout the country with their airstream trailer and were members of the High Tide Drifters. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, playing bridge, and for many years helped organize the W.K.M. Hospital's annual fall bridge marathon. Surviving are her daughters, Judith Ann (Keith) Clark, Hamilton, Ont.; Lorraine (Ted) Corkum, South Berwick; grandchildren, Christian, Wayne and Domini Clark, all of Toronto, Ont.; Fred Corkum, Antigonish; Bill Corkum, Barrie, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ellen, Kirsty, and David; brother, Gerald (Betty) Davidson, Hollywood, Calif. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Loran Bligh; son, Wayne Bligh; brother, Arnold Davidson. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 21, Rev. Murray Shaw officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch or Berwick Baptist Church.
