Upon retirement, he was employed with Scott Worldwide Lumber Mill in Parrsboro for an additional five years. He is survived by his wife, the former Frances Pettis; daughter, Shelly (Mrs. Brent Boyles), Riverview, N.B.; sons, Michael and wife Paula, Oxford; Derek and wife Gail, Halifax; sisters, Jean (Mrs. Dean Spencer), Mrs. Beatrice Durant, both of Parrsboro; brothers, Cleveland, Fred, Allan, Ralph, Gerald, Gary, all of Parrsboro; Lawrence, North Sydney; grandchildren, Scott, Michelle Taylor, both of Parrsboro; Nicholas Boyles, Riverview; Aaron Taylor, Halifax. He was predeceased by infant sons, Darrell and Ricky; brothers, Roland and Robert. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, May 24, funeral 2 p.m. Monday, both in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev.
