  • Obituary: Margaret Elizabeth Bentley June 16, 1931 - December 02, 2010 Bentley, Margaret Elizabeth '96 Born in Moncton, June 16, 1931, she was the chosen daughter of the late Malcolm and Bernice (Fage) Cameron. After graduation from Moncton High, she attended teachers' College in Fredericton and taught in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Schools. Margaret possessed an excellent singing voice and sang in several choirs. A Minister's wife, she worked diligently in the Church especially in the United Church Women and Presbyterial. During her time in Tatamagouche, she was for many years a trustee and then chairperson of the former Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital. In this, she devoted many working hours. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Morley Bentley; daughters, Sherril, (Pierre Benoit), Temiscaming, P.Q.; Virginia (Roderick Corkum), Central New Annan; son, Shawn, Central New Annan; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Miller, Ottawa and Virginia Fraser, Toronto; two brothers, Robert Fage and Richard Fage, both of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lorena Doris. The family will receive visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr, Tatamagouche. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 6 in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, Charles Paterson LPM and Rev. Dr. Hallett Llewellyn officiating. Reception to follow in Tatamagouche Fire Hall. Interment will be in Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission and Service of the United Church of Canada or Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
