Mr. LANGILL was one of our good citizens, and was ever ready to give a helping hand to all in need. The poor as well as the rich always received the same hospitality. He never made a public profession of religion, but he seldom failed to be in his place in God's house, and was an attentive listener to the preached word. He was a strong robust man, until about one year ago, when he complained of not being well, but was able to be around until about two weeks before he died. He then took suddenly ill, and all that medical skill could do, was done for him; but the Reaper had gone forth, and the Father wanted him to come up higher. He leaves a wife and nine children to mourn their loss; and as they stood around his bed in his last moments, they fully realized their loss indeed.
