  • Obituary: Cameron, Ronald Eugene; born on June 13, 1931 and received his angel wings on October 10, 2018 after passing peacefully in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, at 87 years of age. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years, Phyllis (Joudrie); son, Michael (Debbie), 3 daughters, Lori Anne (Merle), Sandra (Geordie), Juanita (Frank), special nephew Curtis (Sheri). Ronald considered himself blessed to have 12 grandchildren, Curtis (Terry Lyn), Colin (Janette), Paul, Terry (Lacey), Matthew, Nathaniel (Brittany), Zachary (Tiffany), Melissa (Nick), Frankie (Danika), Jason (Elizabeth), Courtney, Josie. Ronald's clan grew to include 15 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Lillian, Briea, Shaila, Alexis, Mason, Kamyron, Bryson, Lunden, Kaylee, Cole, Declan, Denny, Emma, Amber. Ronald has many surviving neices, nephews and cousins. He was the last living member of his immediate family; predeceased by his parents Albert and Jean (Murray) and 4 brothers; Curtis, Harold, Arnold, Robert. Almost all of Ronald's working career was at Bonnyman and Byers Lumbermill in Tatamagouche. His work and family were his focus. He loved sports on TV, but not as much as 36 years following 3 generations of family playing hockey. He enjoyed the morning coffee crowd at the Chowder House. Ronald was a longtime member of the Oddfellows Liberty Lodge #120 and enjoyed time at the Willow Lodge Home for Special Care - tending the vegetable garden and visiting residents. Cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date. An Oddfellows service followed by a celebration of Ronald's life will occur at 2 p.m., Saturday,Nov 3, 2018 at the Oddfellows Hall in Tatamagouche. Those wishing to make a gesture of remembrance can make a donation to Tatamagouche Minor Hockey or Oddfellows Liberty Lodge #120.
