Born in Alma, Pictou County, he was a son of the late James and Edith (Cameron) MacKenzie. He was employed with Hawker Siddeley Limited in Trenton until retirement. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of the Maple Leaf Lodge 21, Knights of Pythias and a former member of the Westville Curling Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Frances Joudrie; daughter, Beverly Connell, Westville; son, Dennis, Cape Sable Island; two sisters, Jean Stewart, Westville; Mary (Mrs. Lynton Wright), Montreal; two brothers, Gerald, Westville; Clarrie, Vancouver, B.C.; three grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Malcolm, Charles, Robert; sister, Mabel MacDonald; two grandsons, Michael Connell, Tim Connell. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Bruce Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
