Notes

  • Obituary: Two Alberta boys were drowned Sunday, in two separate mishaps, as they fell from rafts on which they were playing with other children. Dead are Keith Findlay, six, of Jasper, and Fred Craig, 11, Crowsnest. The Jasper boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Findlay, and a playmate, R. Crawford, seven, were playing on a raft on a pond known as "Dead Man's Hole" a half-mile south of Jasper Sunday afternoon. He slipped and fell off, according to the Crawford child, who ran to nearby Tekarra Lodge for help. Dragging operations were carried out by the park warden's service under the supervision of Warden Peter Brodie. The body was recovered at 6 p.m. Edmonton Journal Edmonton,AB 21 May 1951
