Obituary: He was a son of the late Russell and Mary Elizabeth (Holmes) MacDonald. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6, Kentville; New Minas Senior 50 Plus Club; Valley Senior Bowling Club New Minas and St. George's Masonic Lodge 20, Wolfville. During his early life he served in the Merchant Navy, 1939-45. Surviving are his wife, the former Hattie May Davidson; sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. George McBay), Gaspereau; Shirley Burgess, Bedford; Doris Lawrence, Ida Hirtle, Jean (Mrs. Frank Sanford), New Minas; Lois (Mrs. Albert Schofield), Greenwich; Helen Huntley, Roxie (Mrs. Russell Redden), Berwick; Margaret (Mrs. William Workman), Victoria. He was predeceased by brother, William; sister, Laura Hutt.
