Notes

  • Obituary: Teed, Lisa Dawn - 45, Oxford. passed away June 11, 2020 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of Arnold Teed and the late W.C. LaVerne (Langill) Teed. Lisa enjoyed being outside, she loved all the times she went camping with her mother and father. Spending time with family was something she truly enjoyed. Lisa was especially fond of animals and really had a way with them. Her sister Michelle and husband Kevin always had some critters for Lisa to spoil. She absolutely adored "Sandy" the ferret. Lisa was particularly proud of her nephew and niece. She figured having children was the greatest accomplishment of her siblings Sean and Michelle. Lisa loved to laugh and tease, she would throw her head back and happily laugh at her own jokes. She was quick witted and always had a comeback. Lisa was easy to be around and made friends everywhere she went. She loved reality shows, Ice Road Truckers was a favorite, in part because of the adventures she went on with her Dad in his Semi. She also watched cooking shows. She could tell you the ingredients for a million dishes. She was particularly fond of Ina Garten, the "Barefoot Contessa". Lisa loved food, junk food was her vice. She would have loved to eat nothing but chocolate milk and mint chocolate Aero bars if she could. Lisa was a fashion hound, always adding shoes, dresses, jewellery and make up to her collection. She had such tiny feet she could buy shoes in the kids section! When Lisa was diagnosed with cancer, she was devastated of course. Michelle was with her every step of the way and helped her come to terms with her new reality. Lisa was always upfront and real about her illness. She took the hand she was dealt and made the best of her situation. Losing Lisa will leave a void in all of our hearts. Say her name, tell her stories, remember her. Lisa is survived by her father, Arnold; brother, Sean, Saint John, NB; sister, Michelle (Kevin) Weatherbee, Amherst; nephew, Brandon Weatherbee; niece, Samantha Clegg; many cousins and a lot of friends. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium. A private graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River.
