  • Obituary: Halifax Herald 6/7/2002 LONGLEY, Carroll Calnek - Formerly of Toronto and Wolfville, died in Halifax, June 6, 2002. Born in Paradise in 1907, he was the son of the late Howard and Emma (Calnek) Longley. He was a graduate of Acadia University and taught some years in Nova Scotia schools before completing a M.B.A. from Harvard University. He spent most of his active life in Toronto working as an economist and consultant in business and realty investment. Surviving are nephews, Dr. John Davis, Massachusetts; Dr. Homer C. Noble, Torbrook Mines. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine; sisters, Eleanor Longley, Vera Turner and Evelyn Davis. At Mr. Longley's request, there will be no memorial service and interment will be a private family occasion. Donations to Paradise United Baptist Church.
