Born in Waterville, Me., he was a son of the late Daniel and Janet (MacKENZIE) LANGILLE. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary SWAN; five sons, Lawson, Wentworth; Richer, Mimico, Ont.; Clifford, Bible Hill; Sherman, North River; Carmen, at home; three daughters, Mae (Mrs. Russell ADAMS, West Chester Station; Helen (Mrs. Edwin MacINTOSH), West New Annan; Frances (Mrs. Davie LEAVITT), Scotsburn; 34 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. today in Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery, Rev. Ivan RAYMER officiating.
  • Death: When Charles was 85yrs old, he went for a walk in the forest and vanished on 23 Nov 1982. A search party was formed but Charles body was not recovered. In November, 1989, some 7 years later, his bones were found 2.5 miles away from where he was thought to have disappeared.
